Science Procedures - written work

I. WRITTEN HOMEWORK

A.  Students should not cross out mistakes

B.  Student work should be free from spelling errors.  Parents may assist by proof reading, but should help their children locate and learn to spell terms correctly.

C.  Student work is to be submitted using cursive.  Work done in print will be redone.

D.  Students should read over and edit written work.  Work is expected to be free from grammatical and spelling errors.
II.
CLASS NOTES

A.  Students will be expected to take notes using pen.

B.  Notes are given quickly; errors may be crossed out - though they should still be neat.

C.  Notes may be typed or recopied.  Periodically, extra credit will be given for this effort.

D.  Notes should be reinforced and contain the student's name (upper left) and the date (upper right).

E.  Notes are to be taken in the appropriate section of each student's 5 subject notebook.
III.
LABS

A.  Lab format is very specific and can be found at this hyperlink.

B.  Labs may be corrected (up until the due date given in class) and the student will receive full credit.

C.  Material on these labs may appear on unit assessments.

D.  Students should follow the procedures for "Written Homework (I)" in submitting labs.
IV.
PROJECTS

A.  Students will be given specific instructions for all projects.  These are to be followed completely.
