Add a little oxygen
Beautify a garden
Give a gift
How
?

Answer the questions below.  Complete your work in order and accomplish all three goals (above).

1.
Make a list of living organisms that add oxygen to the atmosphere.
2.
Look at the list you created.  Encircle and color those living things that add color to a garden.
(They must add at least one color besides green).  (They are called angiosperms).
3.
Now look at the items that you colored.  Which would make a good gift that could be given to someone special on May 10?
4.
You will first have to find Norwood's growing zone.  This number helps you find plants that grow well in the soil, sunlight, and temperature conditons in our town.
5.
Work backwards.  Find out the name of the living things that can be grown in the area in which we live.  Use the plantfinder.
6.
More conditions to include in your search:  we will grow flowers that  meet these criteria: full ,  adequate , well drained , and grow to a height of one to two .
7.

8.
Plant the seeds have been provided for you.  Measure the soil, water, and vermiculite you add.  Label your biodegradeable pot.  You will track the progress on a daily basis.  Your plant must be cared for; all its needs must be met.  Each day, count the number of leaves you see, and measure the height of your seedling.
