Cooperative Group work

Cooperation is an important skill.
2.
You will always have to work together with others at some points in your life.

a.  It will not always be easy to work together to accomplish a common goal.

b.  You will not always receive the job or task that you want, but you will always learn from the job you receive.

c.  You are expected to have different points of view, ideas, and knowledge about the topics you study in a group.

d.  You are expected to "pull your own weight;"  your grade depends on your effort within the group.

It is important that you LISTEN and take notes while others are talking.

a.  You will be given permission to speak within your group when you have the FLOOR.

b.  The final outcome of any group project will be the sum of all ideas; no one person's ideas will dominate - compromise and process are very important.
